Spring Health
Summary
Join Spring Health's Advanced Analytics team as a Senior Data Scientist and lead technical innovation to drive targeted outreach and scale Specialty Care utilization. You will develop and apply advanced methods, including AI and predictive modeling, to identify at-risk members. This role involves designing and executing experiments to test and scale member outreach strategies, acting as an embedded technical leader within the Specialty Care product pod, and working with large, multi-source datasets. Success is measured by increased Specialty Care utilization, identification of at-risk members, and achieving quarterly experiment velocity goals. This is a full-time, remote-eligible position reporting to the Associate Director of Data Science. The target base salary range is $159,100-$194,150, with a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits.

- Facility with a product development process in the context of a software product
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to guide and make recommendations to business partners
- Proven ability to incorporate AI as a tool to solve complex business problems; including experience with prompt engineering for LLMs, using AI for code optimization and documentation, and establishing best practices for using these tools across teams
- Proven ability to proactively manage your own priorities and dependencies in alignment with cross-functional dependencies and business impact in a fast-paced environment
- Proven success at navigating ambiguous problem areas and learning new approaches
- Willingness to travel (at least 2 times per year) for collaborative sessions and summits with the team

Your work will directly influence product strategy, de-risk new initiatives, and drive measurable business outcomes
- Drive Rapid Experimentation and Outreach: Design and execute a rapid experimentation roadmap to test, validate, and scale targeted member outreach strategies. Some projects will require quasi-experimental approaches to measuring impact. You will analyze results to provide clear recommendations on which initiatives to pursue, shaping the core of the pod’s data-driven approach
- Act as an Embedded Technical Leader: Serve as the dedicated data science lead within the Specialty Care product pod, partnering closely with product management and design to influence the team's roadmap, define success metrics, and ensure strategic decisions are grounded in rigorous analysis
- Leverage Diverse and Complex Data: Work with large, multi-source datasets to perform feature engineering and uncover novel insights.
