Summary

Join Sword Health as a Data Scientist to enable AI/ML projects and power the Sword health platform from end-to-end. You will work on multiple vertical projects, design, prototype, and test novel clinical and digital models, and collaborate with data engineers, analysts, scientists, and product managers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Data Science roles
  • Previous Experience using descriptive and inferential statistics in the context of a product
  • Previous Experience using machine learning to derive insights and find patterns in the data
  • Working knowledge of SQL as well as statistical packages (such as those in R or Python)
  • Experience on leading complex and ambiguous initiatives with full autonomy
  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate their findings with different stakeholders, including those who are non-technical from other teams
  • Experience on solving complex business problems with data, being able to use complex tools and techniques and expected to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Expected to have project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize and lead multiple large-scale projects with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead data science projects from design, exploration, prototype and test novel clinical and digital interventions to understand member musculoskeletal health needs and behavioral tendencies
  • Leverage advanced programming and processing of large datasets towards those ends
  • Work alongside with data engineers, dana analysts, data scientists and product managers to deploy designed and well-tested ML models into practice, helping design appropriate frameworks to test and monitor ongoing model performance
  • Provide methodological, statistical, design and analytical guidance for new and ongoing operations and applied research projects
  • Work and collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Marketing, Clinical operations, Growth) to develop strategies and data science products to solve real world problems
  • Partner with business groups in the company to identify opportunities to deploy bespoke models and create additional models to answer key questions about member behavior

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with irregular time-series/event data
  • Experience in working with cloud platforms
