Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is required; Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field is highly preferred
• 5+ years of experience in data science or a similar role, with a proven track record of success
• Experience with pricing algorithms and technology-driven product development
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and manage shifting priorities effectively
• Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow)
• Knowledge of scientific software principles, including version control, code reproducibility, and deployment practices
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and their application to real-world problems
• Ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable business recommendations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for finding innovative solutions
• Must be able to work core hours aligned with US Eastern Time (GMT-5)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced cost prediction models that accurately forecast costs associated with custom manufacturing
• Analyze existing algorithms for accuracy and performance, provide recommendations for optimization, and update production code as necessary
• Apply data science expertise to tackle complex business problems, providing innovative solutions that improve efficiency and drive growth
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and Business, to understand their data needs and deliver impactful solutions
• Implement robust data science methodologies, emphasizing best practices in code reproducibility, version control, and model deployment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Manufacturing or Logistics Industry: Familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities within these industries
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
