Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. PhD is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in data science, with at least 3 years working in the medical or healthcare industry
  • Proven experience with medical billing systems, claims lifecycle management, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) such as LabWorks or similar
  • Strong expertise in developing machine learning models, predictive analytics, and AI-driven solutions tailored to healthcare datasets
  • Proficiency with programming languages and tools such as Python, R, SQL, and cloud-based machine learning platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker)
  • Experience deploying Gen AI solutions, including NLP and deep learning models, for business applications
  • Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau to create dynamic, interactive reports
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to guide teams and present complex data-driven insights in an actionable way
  • Knowledge of agile project management methodologies and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in mentoring and guiding data science teams
  • Attention to detail and strong commitment to maintaining data integrity and quality

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced data science models that support lab operations, billing, sales, revenue cycle management and customer experience strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to identify and prioritize data science projects that align with business objectives
  • Utilize Gen AI tools and frameworks to build scalable and customized solutions that address complex business challenges in the healthcare domain
  • Develop predictive analytics, machine learning models, and AI-powered applications to enhance patient experience, optimize billing processes, and support strategic decision-making
  • Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure efficient data pipelines and integration with existing systems
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and actionable insights by creating dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations
  • Implement and maintain a robust data governance framework to ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Act as a key advisor in cross-departmental initiatives, working closely with sales teams to develop predictive models that drive customer acquisition and retention strategies
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership to foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation. Lead data science discussions and strategy sessions with senior management
  • Present findings and model performance metrics to stakeholders and executive teams in a clear, concise, and actionable manner, showcasing the impact of projects on business objectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Familiarity with customer experience analytics and patient satisfaction models
  • Expertise in integrating Gen AI chatbots and virtual assistants tailored for healthcare use cases, such as conversational AI for patient support and sales optimization
