Requirements
- Healthcare Data Expertise: Extensive experience working with healthcare data (especially EHR and / or Claims data, ADTs), including clinical applications and / or risk stratification
- Problem Solver: Proven ability to translate business goals and domain understanding into analytics strategies, utilizing both supervised and unsupervised analytics techniques effectively
- Critical Thinker: A natural curiosity and passion for problem solving– the best candidate will be someone who has an innate curiosity and ability to break down complex data sets and extract meaningful insights to drive outcomes
- Innovative Approach: Creativity in addressing data limitations–framing the right questions as we seek to find the answers
- Technical Proficiency: Strong technical experience SQL is a core part of daily workflows, and strong expertise here is critical. We also use & Python and Spark
- End-to-End Delivery: Commitment to seeing projects through from ideation to implementation, with enthusiasm for productionalizing solutions and delivering direct impact to end users
- Clear Communicator: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for nontechnical-stakeholders, fostering collaboration and achieving shared understanding
Responsibilities
- Work with product and engineering leadership to create product features, and analyses to develop our data understanding
- Collaborate with other data scientists, data engineers and clinical experts. Lead projects to create new models, features, and data products and help deploy them to production
- Work on both AI / Machine Learning projects, as well as analytics projects
- Support presales efforts and explore new use cases for our data
- Improve Data Quality - Identify gaps in data and help find ways to fill them. Data Quality is a major differentiator for our platform
- Solve problems both through in-house efforts as well as finding creative ways to partner with other companies or open source initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience developing and deploying complex ML & statistical models, delivering impactful, data-driven solutions in production environments
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare data and formats (e.g. CCDA, FHIR, ADTs, Tuva Schema, OMOP), with a proven ability to address real-world healthcare challenges
- Experience working with Value Based Care organizations, understanding their data and operational needs
- Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience. Advanced healthcare-related credentials (e.g., MD, Pharm.D. PhD, RN, LPN) are a plus but not required!
- Business Intelligence Tools & Data Visualization Experience
- Experience with both supervised and unsupervised ML modeling techniques, with a nuanced understanding of their strengths, limitations and applications in a healthcare context
