Senior Developer

Summary

Join our team as a Ware Project Senior Developer and contribute to the design, development, implementation, and support of the client's AWP (client Ware Project) Preconstruction and CRL modules. This remote role, located in Raleigh, NC, requires collaboration with business analysts and technical staff in an agile environment. The position involves a wide range of activities, including system administration, report writing, automated testing, configuration, and interface development. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in programming and analysis, along with a strong understanding of AWP tools and processes. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of programming and analysis work and to work independently (5 years experience)
• Knowledge of SQL, C#, .NET, python, powershell, command line and other standard languages used in web application development (5 years experience)
• Knowledge of best practices in coding and security (5 years experience)
• Ability to work well in a team (5 years experience)
• Ability to clearly explain technical processes to team members (3 years experience)
• Ability to review and translate business user specifications to configure COTS applications to produce desired results (3 years experience)
• Experience in working with client customers (2 years experience)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and support client Ware Project (AWP) for the client
• Work with business analysts and other technical staff to deliver required functionality for AWP Preconstruction and CRL modules to the client business customers in an agile environment
• Perform system administration tasks
• Write reports
• Perform automated testing
• Perform configuration tasks
• Develop interfaces
• Work directly for the client Letting and Compliance Systems (LCS) manager
• Be available 8 hours during standard business hours, 8AM - 6PM M-F local time
• Perform a wide range of programming and analysis work and work independently
• Clearly explain technical processes to team members
• Review and translate business user specifications to configure COTS applications to produce desired results
• Execute technical work using best practices, including GIT for source code maintenance
• Understand client Ware project (AWP) out of the box tools & processes
• Evaluate and analyze AWP with requirements and make recommendations, based on technical expertise
• Demonstrate technical expertise in specific AWP functions and client business processes
• Understand the AWP data model and how to use the Interactive Data Model tool for development of solutions
• Recommend development of and demonstrate best use of appropriate testing protocols
• Utilize knowledge of automated testing when performing application upgrades

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to execute technical work using best practices, including GIT for source code maintenance (5 years experience)
• Understand AASHTOWare Project out of the box tools & processes (3 years experience)
• Ability to evaluate and analyze client Ware Project with requirements and make recommendations, based on technical expertise (3 years experience)
• Technical expertise in specific client Ware Project functions and DOT business processes (3 years experience)
• Understanding of the client Ware Project data model and how to use the Interactive Data Model tool for development of solutions (3 years experience)
• Ability to recommend development of and demonstrate best use of appropriate testing protocols (3 years experience)
• Knowledge of automated testing to be used when performing application upgrades (2 years experience)
