Summary

Join Envoy Global's expanding Global team as a Senior DevOps Engineer in the UK! This role focuses on ensuring the deployment, operations, and security of Envoy Global's infrastructure across physical, cloud (Azure), and electronic data environments. You will manage the CI/CD pipeline, collaborate with various teams, design and deliver DevOps projects, train junior engineers, and participate in planning sessions. The position requires extensive experience with Azure, Kubernetes, and various DevOps tools. This 60% remote role offers a flexible work environment and requires immediate availability.

Requirements

  • Possess strong communication (written and verbal), analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Have expert level hands on experience working with these technology areas: Builds and deployments using a multi-set of tools
  • Have experience with Source control and CI/CD tools (Git, Azure DevOps, MSBuild, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, etc.)
  • Have experience with Azure platform services, including: Azure SQL, Service Bus, Key Vault, Blob Storage
  • Have experience with Kubernetes clusters with both Linux and Windows nodes (experience in Azure AKS a plus)
  • Have experience with Windows/Linux Administration
  • Have experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and ARM
  • Have experience with Content Delivery Network providers (Cloudflare, Akamai)
  • Have experience with Monitoring and APM tool sets such as Datadog, Splunk, ELK, Other
  • Be self-motivated, self-directed and customer service-focused with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Possess excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Champion Change and Release management
  • Have the ability to expand knowledge and learn new technologies
  • Be available 24x7 to assist in Releases as well as operational or security incidents
  • Have at least 5 years of DevOps experience with a focus builds, deployments, support, preferably in an Azure environment using infrastructure as a code deployment platforms (Git, Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) and .net/agular builds and deployments using various tools
  • Have Kubernetes knowledge, specifically for.net
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field or relevant work experience in an IT Managed Services environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage operational aspect of the CI/CD pipeline including source control, build systems, infrastructure, networking, deployments, and permissions management
  • Work closely with Development, Data, Project Management, and Infosec teams to ensure management, operability, and security of Envoy’s applications hosted in Azure
  • Participate in architecture, requirements, and planning sessions with project owners and stakeholders
  • Design and deliver DevOps projects that ensure infrastructure is 24x7 operational as well as cost effective
  • Train and mentor DevOps engineers to meet Envoy Global’s growing requirements for the future
  • Participate in planning sessions and daily stand-ups with multi-region DevOps staff
  • Proactive planning and organization to adjust to the flexible needs of Envoy Global’s business
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are tested and updated on an annual basis
  • Serve as an escalation point to help prioritize and resolve complex or urgent issues and incidents
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for services and maintenance of software and systems

Preferred Qualifications

Possess MCSE, ITIL, NIST, Azure Infrastructure/Architect (AZ-304,305,400,700) certifications
