Senior DevOps Engineer

Requirements

• Have at least one modern programming language (Java/Kotlin, Ruby, React & Typescript)
• Be familiar with cloud-based providers (AWS, Kubernetes, Aurora, EKS, Lambda, Pulsar and Apigee)
• Have knowledge of cloud networking configuration (VPCs, security groups, load balancers, DNS, etc)
• Be familiar with Configuration-as-a-code (Terraform)
• Have knowledge of System observability (Datadog, Sentry)
• Be familiar with CI/CD: GitHub, Spinnaker

Responsibilities

• Solve complex problems by asking questions and making trade-offs to build scalable architecture
• Lead and deliver projects involving multiple teams, while caring about cloud operations for dozens of services across multiple regions, environments, and language stacks
• Implement automation to reduce toil and enable healthy systems by default, and build tools and resources for upskilling other engineering teams
• Configure observability systems to identify incidents before they happen, respond to incidents, and contribute to a continuous improvement culture with occasional participation in 24/7 on-call rotations
