Remote Senior DevOps Engineer

Summary

SafeBase is seeking a senior web app engineer with DevOps and site reliability experience to improve their Trust Center Platform. The role involves continuous improvement of build and deploy processes, managing cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, collaborating with engineering teams, and shaping the future of R&D center. Remote work is offered. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic infrastructure vision, 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, SRE, or DevOps Engineer, advanced mastery of certain technologies, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Requirements

• Entrepreneurial mindset - previous experience as an early joiner in a technology startup or evidence that you are scrappy with a 'get-it-done' attitude. You thrive in an ambiguous environment and you enjoy leading people towards a common goal
• Strategic infrastructure and architectural vision. Be able to learn the product & business context to inform tradeoff decisions regarding work scoping, technical debt, and strategic investment. Knowing where to cut corners and where to excel
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, SRE, or DevOps Engineer
• Advanced mastery of technologies like TypeScript, Node.js, Google Cloud Platform, Cloudflare, Terraform, Docker, Shell, and GitHub Actions

Responsibilities

• Continuously improve our build and deploy processes to ensure fast, high quality, and secure delivery
• Monitor, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
• Improve DevEx and existing CI/CD pipelines with additional test and security engineering mindset
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the reliability and security of our systems
• Work closely with the founders and shape the future of our R&D center as an early engineer
• Help grow our platform to 1,000+ SaaS vendors, like LinkedIn and Instacart

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a B2B SaaS product startup
• Experience with our modern web application tech stack - Next.js, Prisma, Google Cloud Platform, Apollo Server, Postgres, Cypress, Jest
