Senior DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join the team responsible for infrastructure and services that empower customers to run their businesses. Design and implement Cloud infrastructure, enhance Infrastructure as code capabilities, ensure reliability and stability of application platforms, collaborate with engineers, build and provide recommendations for monitoring processes, diagnose and resolve issues, be the first line of defense and response when it comes to production outages, enhance CI/CD capabilities, and continuously invest in improving our platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years development or automation experience
• 4+ years of experience working with containers
• 4+ years working with AWS infrastructure and services
• 4+ years of hand-on experience working with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and Amazon ECS
• 2+ years working with CI/CD tooling, hands on experience with GitLab is a plus, Terraform
• Strong AWS cloud engineering experience
• Certifications with any of the following is a plus: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified DevOps Developer - Master (CDCD-001)
• Experience integrating monitoring tools into application support
• Experience working with distributed cloud deployments a strong plus
• Be attentive to details and show aptitude for problem solving and a highly collaborative mindset
• Working knowledge of datastores such as RDS Postgres, RabbitMQ or equivalent
• Experience with Agile project delivery

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Cloud infrastructure for our mission critical cloud platforms using AWS technologies and best practices
• Enhance our Infrastructure as code capabilities for our complex Cloud environments
• Ensure the reliability and stability of application platforms by implementing observability, monitoring, alerts and dashboards for critical components
• Collaborate closely with engineers, and other team members to achieve elegant solutions which satisfy business needs, goals, and objectives
• Build and provide recommendations for monitoring processes across engineering teams
• Diagnose and resolve issues with deployed and/or released systems using a variety of techniques
• Be the first line of defense and response when it comes to production outages
• Enhance our CI/CD capabilities and work with engineering teams for releases
• Continuously invest in improving our platform to meet our engineering needs and goals
