Summary
Join MetroStar as a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer III and provide leadership and expertise across agile release trains. You will develop innovative technical solutions, establish and maintain cloud and DevSecOps strategies, and optimize cyber solutions. Collaborate with data scientists and developers, lead technical challenges, and assist in business development. Participate in strategic planning and provide architectural guidance and support to ensure identity management system integration. Engage with senior executives and offer subject matter expertise in security architecture. This role requires a DHS Suitability and significant experience in IT, DevSecOps, and AI/ML engineering.
Requirements
- Obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability
- Have at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering, or other comparable degree or experience
- Have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the Information Technology field, DevSecOps, AI/ML engineering projects, and technical architecture specifically
- Have a strong software engineering background and can comfortably guide multiple cross-functional development teams on engineering strategies
- Possess strong architecture & design experience, including at least three (3) years of experience deploying production enterprise applications in AWS that use AI/ML
- Be familiar with event-driven architecture patterns and can guide and advise development teams on architecture pattern best practices
- Have experience in large-scale, high-performance enterprise big data application deployment and solution architecture on complex heterogeneous environments in AWS
- Be proficient in scripting languages including Python, or Shell and have experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Have expertise in containerization technologies and platforms to include Docker and Kubernetes
- Have extensive experience with CI/CD pipeline automation and tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, Circle CI, GitLab CI/CD, or Github Actions
- Have the ability to set up and configure monitoring tools like New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or ELK stack
- Have a strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, firewalls, load balancing and basic knowledge of database administration and SQL
- Have experience with the Elastic stack and/or Amazon OpenSearch
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative technical solutions and identify areas of improvement in software architecture and overall technical architecture
- Establish and maintain Cloud, DevSecOps, and Cyber strategies for execution and growth of the Machine Learning and AI operations across our public sector clients
- Seek ways to continuously optimize and improve all operational aspects of our cyber solutions across Cloud and DevOps (DevSecOps)
- Collaborate with a team of talented data scientists, machine learning engineers, and application developers to create unique solutions and capabilities, as well as provide guidance for implementation
- Lead DevSecOps tech challenges and proposals with team members
- Assist Growth Team and Account Leads in the expansion and enhancement of a pipeline to support short- and long-range growth plans
- Participate in long range strategic planning activities designed to meet the Company’s objectives and to increase its enterprise value and revenue goals
- Provide architectural guidance, technical support, and advisement services to ensure identity management system technologies are integrated and meeting the appropriate security requirements
- Engage with senior level executives at a public facing Federal agency and provide subject matter expertise in security architecture and other key domain areas
