Senior Director, Product Design

Summary

Join FloQast as the Senior Director of Product Design and lead the strategic direction and execution of product design initiatives. Lead a team of designers, fostering a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional user experiences. Partner with product management, engineering, and marketing teams. This key leadership role will shape customer interaction with the platform. Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy aligned with FloQast’s product roadmap and business goals. Oversee the creation of intuitive and efficient user interfaces, leveraging UX methodologies. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for design quality and user satisfaction.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product design experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing design teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus
• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and mentor diverse design teams, with a track record of building collaborative and innovative cultures
• Deep understanding of UX/UI design principles, proficiency with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, and familiarity with software development processes
• Ability to align design initiatives with business objectives, leveraging market research and user feedback to drive product innovation
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy that aligns with FloQast’s product roadmap and business goals, emphasizing user-centric design principles and accounting workflow optimization
• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing product design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Partner with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of design into the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch
• Oversee the creation of intuitive, visually appealing, and efficient user interfaces, leveraging UX methodologies such as user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
• Establish and refine best-in-class design processes, including design systems, to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across FloQast’s product portfolio
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitor products, and user needs to inform design decisions and maintain FloQast’s competitive edge
• Present design concepts, strategies, and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders, articulating the value of design in achieving business outcomes
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for design quality and user satisfaction, using data-driven insights to iterate and improve designs

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in SaaS, fintech, or accounting software is highly preferred
