• Experience in writing and editing feature articles on retirement and tax planning

Responsibilities

• Report and write on a variety of personal finance topics
• Assist the chief editor in managing and editing copy from staff and freelance contributors
• Explain financial concepts and guidance in a clear and engaging way
• Help writers develop their stories and polish them to fit Kiplinger’s tone and style
• Watch trends, writing and editing pieces with a forward-looking focus for the magazine’s Ahead section
• Help ensure coverage of retirement, taxes, insurance, estate planning, credit and other topics that are important to our readers
• Generate fresh, timely story ideas that fit into Kiplinger’s mission of providing relevant advice
