Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in journalism, English or communications, or a related field
• 4-6 years of editing and writing experience in media/publishing, including 3 years of direct digital experience
• 2+ years of management experience with multiple reports (staff or freelance)
• Strong knowledge of and interest in SEO best practices and tools
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with decisive and direct style; comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback
• Project management skills, with the ability pivot between tasks, consistently meeting deadlines and catching all the details
• Excellent interpersonal skills, highly collaborative and a positive change agent
• Experience with content production and management tools such as WordPress, Skyword, Airtable, Looker, Adobe/Google Analytics, SEMrush

Responsibilities

• Manage the publishing of search-optimized content, working with cross-department stakeholders (culinary, art, production) to ensure that all deadlines are met
• Lead and mentor your team of writers and editors by sharing brand and industry knowledge, regularly providing feedback and offering support
• Edit food content according to daily publishing goals, adhering to AP and house style and following web-writing and SEO best practices
• Identify opportunities to improve content quality through the introduction of elements such as interviews or quotes from culinary subject matter experts, infographics, etc
