Summary

Join Altium as a Senior Product Manager and steer product strategy for the hardware development and production platform transforming the electronics industry. You will identify problems, determine solutions, and work with influential hardware companies. A day involves generating ideas through customer communication, collaborating with R&D, creating product roadmaps, and ensuring customer adoption. This role requires proven product management experience, a software development background (preferably in cloud software), and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Requirements

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Product Manager
  • Senior level, able to work independently, think big, generate ideas, take ownership of the problem and solution
  • A software development background is required, preferably in cloud software and Software as a Service

Responsibilities

  • Generate ideas by bringing the customer’s view into EDA product development through open communication with enterprises, industry partners, customers and end-users
  • Work with R&D software engineers to advance cloud-based data management & orchestration solutions. Stay on top of evolving EDA technology trends and customer needs
  • Create and build out the product vision and roadmap to share and communicate with the team and stakeholders
  • Work across units to bring everyone on board by helping them understand the product and strategy
  • Have a get-to-market strategy that gives Marketing, Development, QA, Support and Sales the tools and support they need for the next successful Altium product launch
  • Identify problems and determine which solution would serve Altium’s customer base and our strategic goals
  • Meet with representatives of the most influential hardware companies in the world that require next-level systems to realize their cutting-edge products
  • Drive project, area, roadmap; collaborate with partners to bring projects to completion
  • Establish relations, build focus groups, gather requirements and validate proposals and alpha/beta solutions with customers from decision makers to end-users
  • Meet adoption goals through customer engagement, market analytics and work with the marketing team on new feature introductions and product launches
  • Research trends in the industry, investigate competition solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industry-grade product lifecycle management systems (PLM like Arena PLM, PTC Windchill and alike) or process orchestration systems
  • ECAD/EDA software or PCB design experience and UX experience
