Summary

Join Underdog, the fastest-growing sports gaming company ever, as an Event Planner and Employee Engagement Manager. Plan, organize, and execute exciting events for a team that built four of today's most widely played fantasy games and recently launched their Sportsbook. This Brooklyn-based position offers unlimited PTO, 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave, a $500 home office allowance, and more.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning, employee engagement, or a related field
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events from concept to execution
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Comfort serving as facilitator or host in large group event sessions
  • Ability to produce thoughtful event, program, and budget proposals for company leadership
  • Experience sourcing and managing external vendors
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for creating memorable employee experiences
  • Ability to travel as needed for onsite event coordination

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute exciting and engaging events
  • Facilitate quarterly in-person orientation sessions for new hires
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives and align them with company culture and goals
  • Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors
  • Create and implement innovative and engaging event concepts
  • Provide on-the-ground support during events, troubleshooting any issues
  • Assist in maintaining a welcoming and efficient office environment
  • Support engagement initiatives, such as employee appreciation events, ERG events, and seasonal activities
  • Track event metrics and costs, analyzing data to assess the impact of events on employee engagement and satisfaction as well as budget
  • Prepare post-event reports and presentations for senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role within a tech or fast-paced corporate environment
  • Familiarity with virtual and hybrid event platforms
  • Experience in workplace management, or workplace management vendors
