Senior Engineering Manager

Summary

Join HubSpot's Flywheel Product Team as a Senior Engineering Manager and lead the engineering function within the Partner Product Group. You will define and execute the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap, collaborating closely with Product and Design teams. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proven track record in SaaS product development. You will oversee team execution, cultivate a high-performing engineering community, and attract top talent. The initial six months involve embedding as a software engineer to maintain hands-on technical proficiency. A competitive compensation package, including base salary, commission, bonus, and potential RSUs, is offered.

Requirements

• Proven experience in building and shipping SaaS products from concept to iteration
• Strong contribution to product strategy and execution, able to lead and turn around larger teams
• Full-stack capabilities with a solid understanding of Java, MongoDB, and modern frontend technologies
• Excellent leadership qualities, with an ability to inspire, motivate, and engage a multidisciplinary team
• Skilled in performance management and nurturing a feedback-driven development culture

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution of your teams by cultivating a fast-paced environment and helping your teams unblock and move fast
• Develop and communicate a compelling product engineering vision that aligns with business strategies and motivates engineering teams
• Attract, grow, and retain top engineering talent, enhancing the team's overall technical density and effectiveness
• Balance people management with direct technical input on design and architecture, ensuring high-quality outputs across the team
• Work closely with product managers and external partners to build integrations and enhance our internal platform, leveraging resources like MongoDB and Azure
• Collaborate with peers across the organization to drive scalable software development and delivery infrastructures
