Summary
Join Octopus Deploy as a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a new Product-Led Growth team. You will build and mentor a high-performing team, setting goals and direction with support from Product and Marketing. Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and Data teams to run experiments and drive growth. This role offers the opportunity to create a sustainable team, focusing on a strategically important area of the company. Requirements
- Has a well-equipped managerial toolbox and experience leading a large team of engineers delivering business impact
- Has a technical background in software engineering or a deep understanding of low-level technical concepts, like networking, application architecture, and/or databases
- Thrives on exploration and experimentation to discover iterative improvements that will have a lasting impact
- Can independently identify and tackle projects that solve open-ended, ambiguous problems that are often beyond the scope of your immediate team
- Will take accountability for the people in your team, the way they work, and the results they deliver
- Can identify and diagnose problems and proactively create solutions to ensure a team performs at its best
- Will autonomously guide your team to the sustainable delivery of business impact
- Can confidently coach developers at any level to reach their full potential
- Can confidently help your team navigate their way through large organisational change
- Gives and receives "radically candid" feedback that challenges and demonstrates care
- Is or strives to be a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion
Responsibilities
- Clarifying the goals, roles, development, and execution plans for your team
- Helping your team understand our strategy and how they contribute to the big picture
- Proactively coaching people remotely, accelerating them along their personal growth trajectory
- Contributing positively to how we approach people and culture in the engineering team, including attracting and growing talent, supporting those who are thriving and also those who are struggling, building our culture, and fostering great career growth
