Senior Engineering Manager

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience scaling and managing high-performance teams
• Experience managing long-term roadmaps, driving technical projects and facilitating technical decisions and cross-functional team discussions
• Managing and building environments on AWS or GCP
• Experience with CI/CD, containers and/or virtualization, web servers, and databases
• Experience defining SLOs/SLIs and implementing monitoring, alerting, and runbooks
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field

Responsibilities

• Lead and nurture a team of high-impact engineers
• Provide regular coaching and technical mentorship to your immediate team as well as contribute to the broader engineering department's growth
• Assume direct responsibility for ensuring the quality and timely delivery of the team's work, while overseeing the availability and performance of critical services
• Managing software and tooling to facilitate greater automation, support, scalability, and operability of services
• Collaborate closely with management and product teams to plan, estimate, and prioritize roadmap objectives, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks
• Use data to understand the availability, reliability, sustainability, and cost efficiency of our infrastructure and drive improvements
• Actively engage in systems hardening, compliance, and governance (e.g., SOC2, FedRAMP)
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to set strategy, priorities, and mission for the Infrastructure team
