Summary
Join EverTrue, a leading advancement intelligence and donor engagement platform, as a technical leader for the Signal and mobile engineering team. Lead and mentor your team while contributing hands-on to product development (approximately 50% of your time). Collaborate with product management, architects, and other leaders to shape the product roadmap and architectural vision. Ensure product performance, stability, and security by working with the TechOps team. Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from hiring to performance reviews. Drive the adoption of best practices in development and foster a positive team culture. This role requires at least 2 years of direct technical leadership experience, 5 years of software engineering experience (including Java, React, and native mobile development), advanced knowledge of AWS, and experience leveraging GenAI. Requirements
- You have at least 2 years of experience as a direct technical leader with a proven record of high-velocity, high-quality product delivery and a passion for team leadership and people development
- You are deeply technical with at least 5 years of software engineering experience, including hands-on development and DevOps. You have deep knowledge of Java and React, plus experience building native mobile applications for iOS and Android
- You possess advanced knowledge of cloud-native application development on AWS
- You have demonstrated experience leveraging GenAI within the product development cycle to improve speed and quality
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Signal and mobile engineering team, focusing on their performance, professional growth, and ability to do their best work
- Divide your time between hands-on technical contributions (approx. 50%) and team leadership, project oversight, and mentorship
- Partner closely with product management to shape and execute the roadmap for the Signal and mobile platforms
- Collaborate with architects and other technical leaders to establish and implement a cohesive cross-product architectural vision
- Work with the TechOps team (CloudOps and Security) to ensure all products are performant, stable, and secure
- Oversee the full people management lifecycle, including performance reviews, career development plans, hiring, and onboarding
- Drive the adoption of best practices in product development, DevOps, and test automation
