Senior Enterprise Software Engineer

Summary

Join Podium, a company dedicated to empowering local businesses with AI-powered solutions, as a Generative AI Engineer. You will be part of a team developing AI agents that handle customer interactions, optimizing operations and saving time for businesses. This role involves building full-stack AI applications using large language models (LLMs), designing and maintaining scalable systems, and engaging in rapid prototyping and iterative development. You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating AI agents in production, ensuring reliability and user satisfaction. This position requires strong programming experience, expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, and a deep understanding of full-stack architecture and AI models.

Requirements

• Available / willing to travel onsite with customers, to build custom features
• 8+ years of hands-on programming experience with at least one modern language such as Python, Go, or Elixir
• Strong experience with both front-end (e.g., React, JavaScript, TypeScript) and back-end (e.g., Node.js, Python, Elixir) technologies
• Solid understanding of full-stack architecture and how to interact with the latest AI models, and utilize the strengths of the models
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to decompose complex issues and drive innovation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team, translating technical concepts for diverse audiences
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development environment

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy full-stack AI-driven applications powered by large language models to automate interactions and manage leads for local businesses
• Design, implement, and maintain both the front-end and back-end of scalable systems that integrate AI technologies
• Work through the entire development lifecycle—from architecture to deployment—ensuring seamless integration of AI solutions
• Engage in rapid prototyping and iterative development to refine both AI and platform features based on user feedback and real-world performance
• Implement systems to monitor and evaluate AI agents in production, ensuring reliability and optimal user satisfaction
• Stay current with industry trends in generative AI and full-stack development, applying cutting-edge research to practical business solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in designing and contributing to large-scale distributed systems and AI-driven applications
• Proficiency in Python and its application in AI-driven full-stack systems
• Exceptional writing abilities for creating and optimizing prompts for generative AI models
• Experience with deploying, monitoring, debugging, and evaluating AI agents in production environments
