Senior ETL Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior ETL Engineer and design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable applications. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and improve software development practices. This remote position is based in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Bolivia. The role involves designing complex ETL pipelines, collaborating with stakeholders, leading data warehouse solutions, and ensuring data integrity. You will be responsible for migrating data pipelines and optimizing processes for efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/ Advanced English skills
• +6 years of experience
• Strong experience with ETL tools, particularly Fivetran
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services, especially Pub/Sub and Cloud Composer
• Proficiency in data pipeline maintenance, with the ability to quickly identify and fix breaks or failures
• Experience migrating data pipelines from legacy systems to DBT
• Ability to migrate Snowflake tasks into DBT for more efficient orchestration

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex ETL pipelines to support large-scale data processing and integration
• Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data models and transformation logic
• Lead the design and architecture of data warehouse solutions ensuring scalability, performance, and security
• Perform data profiling, quality checks, and validation to ensure data integrity across systems
