Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably in fintech or a technology-driven company
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Docs Suite, including pivot tables, vLookups, Index Matching, and macros
  • Experience with financial planning software such as Host Analytics, Hyperion, or Oracle
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw insights from data and communicate findings effectively
  • Experience managing P&L line items, including revenue and OPEX forecasts and budgets
  • Proactive problem solver who aligns solutions with consumer, company, and team priorities
  • Collaborative and communicative, able to work effectively across teams and levels of leadership
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Manage Revenue and/or OPEX forecast and budget models
  • Prepare monthly budget vs. actual (BvA) reports, identify risks and opportunities, and conduct variance analysis for meetings with cost center leads
  • Load forecast scenarios into financial planning systems, build templates, and run queries using tools like Pigment, Looker and Oracle
  • Analyze and recap data insights at an audience-appropriate level to inform decision-making
  • Partner with cost center leads to provide accurate forecasts, budgets, and financial recommendations
  • Anticipate evolving needs of business partners, exercising judgment to recommend and implement process improvements
  • Escalate issues with recommended solutions while reprioritizing workload as needed
  • Analyze and improve upon past processes and experiences to drive operational efficiency and workflow accuracy
  • Collaborate with managers to coach Financial Analysts, share best practices, and enhance team capabilities
  • Develop and refine operational processes to support better financial planning and reporting
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial models with a focus on identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Proactively attempt to solve problems in the best interests of the consumer, the company, and the team
  • Partner with leadership to implement insights into strategic initiatives and long-term financial planning

Preferred Qualifications

MBA, CFA, CPA designation
