Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role with a strong technical focus
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and advanced Excel (VBA and macros preferred)
  • Proven ability to build automated solutions and streamline complex financial processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automated solutions to streamline financial reporting, reconciliations, and forecasting processes
  • Develop custom SQL queries, Python scripts, and advanced Excel models to extract, transform, and analyze data from various financial systems
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance data integration across systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
  • Support FP&A by creating and automating models for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to present key financial metrics, trends, and data insights for executive leadership
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support business initiatives and answer specific financial questions from finance and operational leaders
  • Partner with accounting, finance, and operational teams to identify areas for process automation and improvement
  • Document and implement new workflows to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and enhance reporting timelines
  • Act as a resource for technical questions related to finance data and analytics, offering guidance and training as needed
  • Serve as a power user and expert in SQL, Python, and advanced Excel to build efficient data workflows and reporting structures
  • Work closely with the finance team to improve financial system capabilities, recommending and implementing best practices for data management and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau)
  • Experience in a SaaS environment or other high-growth, tech-driven industry
  • Certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CMA are a plus
