Summary

Join Prolific as a Senior Fraud & Quality Lead and become the strategic and operational leader responsible for maintaining the integrity of Prolific’s platform. You will set the vision, processes, and tooling roadmap for detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud and ensuring data quality across all user groups. This role requires 7–10+ years of experience in fraud operations, trust & safety, or data integrity roles at a digital platform and proven leadership experience building high-functioning fraud models. You will own and evolve Prolific’s fraud, data integrity, and quality strategy, design and implement proactive detection systems, and lead audits and investigations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial, as is staying ahead of emerging threats. Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in fraud operations, trust & safety, or data integrity roles at a digital platform
  • Proven leadership experience building high-functioning fraud models, systems, and controls with a cross functional team in fast-paced environments
  • Strong fluency in risk modeling, anomaly detection, behavioural analysis, and operational tooling
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve Prolific’s fraud, data integrity, and quality strategy to safeguard platform trust and ensure reliable research outcomes
  • Design and implement proactive detection systems and controls —including rule engines, real-time alerting, anomaly detection, and participant scoring—to prevent fraud and abuse at scale
  • Monitor and respond to emerging threats in both human and synthetic data ecosystems, staying ahead of risks like prompt injection, impersonation, and bot activity
  • Lead rigorous, ongoing audits and investigations , from task quality reviews to system-wide risk assessments, driving insights and compliance reporting to leadership and the Board
  • Act as the internal SME on fraud and quality , integrating threat intelligence, academic research, and evolving regulations into policy and process improvements
  • Own Quality Assurance Operations for all data quality processes, ensuring that all processes are robust and achieve the required quality standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, legal, and external partners to build tooling, maintain compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2), and advance industry-wide standards

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with AI training data workflows, labeling platforms, or crowdsourcing tools is a strong advantage
