Senior Frontend Developer

Summary

Join Caylent's growing Cloud Native Applications team as a Senior Frontend Developer. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and managers to deliver AWS solutions for diverse customers. Responsibilities include development, participation in agile ceremonies, and delivering well-documented, tested code. You will lead by example, coach junior developers, and stay curious by exploring new technologies. The role requires deep frontend development expertise with frameworks like React, Vue, and Angular, as well as experience with RESTful services and API integrations. Preferred qualifications include a BS in a computing-related field and experience with testing, automation, and generative AI.

Requirements

• Committed to delivering exceptional client experiences, professionally responding to customer inquiries, clearly communicating project status, and providing valuable solutions aligned to client needs
• Demonstrates strong collaboration with internal teams, proactively aligning on priorities, responding to clients, and addressing client feedback
• Effectively communicates technical information clearly and actively listens to clients and team members to confirm understanding and prevent miscommunication
• In depth experience developing with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, Next.JS, Typescript, Angular
• In depth experience building and styling components custom or utilizing frameworks such as TailwindCSS, ShadCN, MUI, GatsbyJS
• Experience collaborating closely with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into polished, accessible, and performant front-end experiences
• Ability to contribute to early design conversations, offering engineering insights to ensure that design visions are both feasible and scalable in implementation
• Experience using Figma’s Dev Mode to inspect designs, gather specs, access assets, and ensure pixel-perfect implementation aligned with UX intent
• Ability to design and implement micro animations that enhance user experience, communicate state changes, guide user attention, and add personality to the interface without detracting from usability
• Demonstrated experience in consuming RESTful services and API integrations
• Understanding of frontend design patterns such as SPA, MVC, etc
• Understanding of CSS variables and the process of creating scalable systems
• Proven ability to learn new technology quickly and effectively
• Desire to integrate innovative technologies into development workflow
• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies
• Self organizing, detail oriented, and high achieving
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Participate in development activities

• Deliver well-documented, tested, and production-ready code to our customers
• Dive deep into any problems that may arise across their environments
• Lead By Example, using your expertise in frontend development to deliver solutions defined by the Design team and led by your Architect
• Coach less-experienced developers as your team builds together

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in a computing-related or UI/UX field, or commensurate experience
• Experience with testing and automation
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI
• Experience with app dev acceleration tools like Amazon Q Developer, GitHub CoPilot, Cursor.AI, or similar
• Experience deploying frontends onto AWS resources
• Familiarity with design thinking methodologies
