Senior Frontend Engineer

Summary

Join Aerospike's dynamic team and be a pivotal member of the Aerospike Cloud team, developing the company's Multi-Cloud Multi-Tenant Aerospike Platform cloud offering. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will contribute directly to delivering innovative solutions to our global customer base. You will communicate with stakeholders, produce high-quality code, write tests and build prototypes, optimize front-end services, and develop automated tests. This role requires proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and a deep understanding of modern web practices. Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Google, Azure) and API development frameworks is essential. The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of web application development experience. Requirements

• Proficient knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Deep understanding of modern web practices and the associated technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, etc.)
• Experience with at least one of the major public cloud providers: AWS, Google, Azure
• Experience with API development frameworks (Swagger or other frameworks)
• Technical knowledge and understanding of techniques and standards for authentication, authorization, and encryption
• Experience converting UI mockups to usable web pages
• 3-7 years of experience developing web applications

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers regarding progress on a long-term technology roadmap
• Produce quality code, raising the bar for team performance and speed
• Write code and tests, build prototypes, resolve issues, and profile and analyze bottlenecks
• Optimize front-end services for performance and scalability
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure business needs are met

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with developing, deploying, and maintaining distributed services with containers (Docker) & orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE)
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipeline engines
• Familiarity with one or more common backend languages (Go, Python, Java)
• Experience with NoSQL database development

Benefits

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: [$170,000 - $195,000] (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law)
