Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Strong expertise in the following: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Typescript
  • Experience with modern Javascript frameworks such as React, Preact, Angular, Next, Vue or Meteor
  • Passion for delivering products end-to-end: from ideation through planning and scoping to implementation and experimental A/B testing
  • Experience or desire to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with design, product, tech
  • Independent, dedicated, and able to deliver β€˜production ready’ code with minimal guidance
  • Experience or desire to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with design, product, data science, and research partners
  • Expertise developing solutions to ambiguous problems, and integrations

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional partners on Product and Design to triage, scope, and evaluate feasibility of proposed features and functionality
  • Identify new opportunities for impact on conversion, contact reduction, or quality and advocate for the staffing and prioritization of these opportunities
  • Set the long-term architectural vision for user experiences and libraries that power money movement at Airbnb
  • Mentor other frontend engineers across the Payments Engineering team
  • Lead cross-org Quality initiatives to reduce defect introduction rate, reduce incident detection time, and refine incident response processes
  • Be a collaborative teammate that can help elevate the rest of the engineering organization
