Senior Frontend Engineer

Join Astronomer's R&D team as a Senior Frontend Software Engineer and contribute to the growth initiative of our industry-leading DataOps platform, Astro. You will play a pivotal role in building an intuitive onboarding and self-service experience for our users, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requirements

• Have a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences
• Have experience developing consumer-facing applications with modern web technologies such as TypeScript, React, and shared component/design systems
• Have experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Have experience with software development best practices, such as code reviews, testing, CI/CD, version control, automation, and debugging

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the frontend design and implementation of the Astro onboarding process while also contributing to the continued improvement of the Astro features used by our customers
• Collaborate within a cross-functional team of Frontend Engineers, API Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to understand user requirements, implement, and iterate on the features that delight our customers
• Continuously evaluate and improve the overall user experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience building developer tooling
• Have experience building for users who interact with/get value from multiple avenues, including but not limited to web UI, local, 3rd party integrations such as GIT
• Have experience building SaaS applications and/or applications with complex security and control systems

Benefits

• The estimated salary for this role ranges from $180,000 - $210,000 based on leveling and geography, along with an equity component and a comprehensive benefits package
