Senior Frontend Engineer

As a front-end engineer, you will collaborate with various teams to create modern and accessible user experiences. You'll own the front-end architecture, build dynamic interfaces, and integrate with backend APIs. Requirements

• 8+ years of experience delivering high-impact front-end applications in production environments
• Deep expertise in React (including React 18/19+) and front-end ecosystems (ECMAScript 6+, TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, modern HTML/CSS)
• Strong background in responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first development
• Demonstrated experience with animated interfaces, dynamic content, and voice-to-text/voice-to-voice interactions
• Proven ability to separate content, logic, and localization in scalable front-end architectures
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and modern version control practices
• Hands-on integration experience with GraphQL/REST APIs, and familiarity with BFF patterns

Responsibilities

• Own the front-end architecture for GIA interfaces — from design fidelity and performance to componentization and responsiveness
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UX designers, and AI/ML engineers to deliver seamless and intelligent user experiences
• Implement high-performance, reusable components using React 18+ (ideally 19) with TypeScript across both web and (optionally) native applications
• Build dynamic and animated interfaces with attention to detail around motion, voice interaction, and responsiveness across browsers and devices
• Integrate deeply with BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) and REST APIs, with an eye toward stability, observability, and testability
• Drive a culture of quality by contributing to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), unit and integration test coverage, and front-end performance observability
• Lead front-end efforts for key initiatives including GIA-next, templating systems, editor experiences, and multimedia (images, video) integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React Native or other cross-platform frameworks for mobile development
• Background in voice interfaces, speech-to-text, or conversational UI design patterns
• Strong understanding of accessibility (a11y) and internationalization (i18n/l10n) best practices
• Familiarity with LLM-enhanced UX patterns, prompt management, and AI-human feedback loops
• Experience designing or implementing collaborative editing, template engines, or WYSIWYG document interfaces
• Exposure to video/image manipulation, canvas-based rendering, or WebGL
• Experience working alongside or within AI/ML model-serving environments (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, internal LLM pipelines)
• Understanding of backend-for-frontend (BFF) design and GraphQL federation or composition
• Experience leading or mentoring teams in cross-functional, fast-moving product organizations
