Senior Front-End Engineer

Join GWI as a Senior Frontend Engineer and play a pivotal role in our Software Engineering Department in Athens, Greece. This permanent, flexible/remote position involves implementing innovative features using React and TypeScript, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with the team lead. You will need demonstrable experience with React.js and TypeScript/Javascript, strong software development skills, and knowledge of web platform fundamentals. Requirements

• Demonstrate commercial experience in coding with React.js and Typescript/ Javascript
• Demonstrate excellent software development skills using both object and functional-oriented design fundamentals with a strong background in client-facing software applications
• Demonstrate strong fundamentals around the web platform as a whole (HTTP/S, REST, Web performance & security)
• Demonstrate experience with Computer Science fundamentals (data representation, data structures, algorithms) and with Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Demonstrate knowledge and experience with continuous integration and deployment automation concepts
• Demonstrate ability to adapt to changing requirements and delivery timelines; Agile development experience (including tools like JIRA, Git, etc) is welcome

Responsibilities

• Perform code reviews
• Implement innovative new features for our platforms using a React and TypeScript stack
• Mentor and inspire junior team members
• Collaborate closely with your Team Lead to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions
