Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development using React
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with a deep understanding of frontend frameworks and libraries
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical challenges with creativity and pragmatism
  • Experience working in an agile development environment, with a focus on iterative delivery and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment

Responsibilities

  • Mentor a team of frontend engineers, providing technical guidance and coaching with close collaboration with the Product Manager
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and priorities
  • Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable frontend solutions using React and related technologies
  • Utilise react-admin framework to continuously build & improve our internal analyst tools, customising and extending them as needed to meet the user requirements
  • Drive best practices for code quality, testing, and performance optimization throughout the development lifecycle
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team
  • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate
  • Serve as an advocate for front-end engineering best practices across the organization
