Senior Full Stack Developer Ruby on Rails in Worldwide

Summary

The job is for a remote software engineer position in a San Francisco-based startup company. The employee will work on a platform that combines secure video conferencing with various tools for legal proceedings. Required qualifications include 7+ years of Ruby on Rails and JavaScript(ES6) experience, git/source control understanding, comfort with both object-oriented and functional programming paradigms, technical documentation writing, and AI or ChatGPT knowledge. Preferred qualifications include WebRTC, JavaScript frameworks, asset optimization techniques, Postgres, AWS/Heroku, and category theory.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
• Minimum 7+ years of JavaScript(ES6) experience
• Strong understanding of git/source control
• Comfortable working with and understanding both object-oriented and functional programming paradigms
• Write technical documentation for new features
• Build end-to-end solutions with minimum coupling

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with WebRTC
• Knowledge of JavaScript framework: webpacker, and stimulus
• Experience with asset optimization techniques
• 2+ years Postgres
• Working knowledge of AWS/Heroku
• Knowledge of category theory
