Senior Full Stack DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join Degreed as a DevOps Engineer and contribute to a dynamic team driving key projects, including migrating services from AWS to Azure using container-based solutions. You will design, build, and maintain infrastructure supporting our learning platform, working closely with development teams to ensure efficient and secure application deployment. This role involves leading containerization efforts, migrating infrastructure to code, designing scalable networks, and building tools to empower developers. You will collaborate with stakeholders and other teams, participating in rotating support rosters. The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits program.

Requirements

• Able to work autonomously and asynchronously
• Experienced working remotely
• 3+ years of Supporting a high scale web based application in production
• 3+ years of Deploying, Managing and Scaling Cloud Platform Resources - Azure, GCP, or AWS experience (Azure Preferred)
• Experience with containers and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Possess strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the charge as we continue to containerize our applications and services
• Migrate our infrastructure to code
• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable networks
• Build tools which encourage developers to take more ownership of their codebase
• Work closely with stakeholders to gain understanding of new features, dependencies, and technical details
• Deploy and configure new development tools and infrastructure
• Work on ways to automate and improve the software delivery processes
• Collaborate, educate, and empower other teams
• Partake in rotating support rosters
