Summary
Join Abnormal Security as a Full Stack Software Engineer to lead key areas of the Inbound Email Portal team for Messaging Security Products. You will own key deliverables, collaborate on roadmaps, architect efficient systems, implement features and user interfaces, resolve performance issues, mentor junior team members, and contribute to knowledge sharing. The team focuses on portal, dashboards, and customer interaction components, with a 70/30 backend/frontend split. Ideal candidates possess extensive full-stack experience building distributed products at scale, advanced frontend development skills, and independent backend API capabilities. This is a newly formed team responsible for managing Abnormal's primary Inbound Email Security full stack products.
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related engineering field
- 5+ years experience designing and building complex full stack web applications
- 1+ years as a tech/team lead for a team developing complex end-user facing features
- Advanced with React/Redux (or other Modern FE framework), JS, Typescript
- Expert with Python and/or Go
- Youโre growth driven & looking to increase impact & responsibility over time
Responsibilities
- Own key deliverables from e2e within our division's quarterly roadmap and a subset of the key divisional SLAs/SLOs
- Work with the Engineering Manager & Product Manager to craft the roadmap for the MSP Portal team
- Architect efficient and reusable systems that drive complex web applications
- Implement features and user interfaces that better demonstrate Abnormalโs value to our customers
- Identify and resolve performance and user interface issues
- Provide guidance and mentorship for junior members of the team
- Raise the bar of excellence in engineering, actively contributing to knowledge sharing within the team and participating in professional development activities
- Hit the ground running contributing to the teamwork in the first two weeks
Preferred Qualifications
- MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related engineering field
- Familiarity with our backend stack - Django, Postgres/MySQL, Node.js, Celery, Kafka, AWS
- Startup or Cybersecurity Experience
