Senior Full Stack Engineer

Summary

Join Contentful as a Software Engineer and be part of a team driving the future of content management and delivery through APIs. Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer in a product development environment
• Strong skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js
• Interested in clean code practices and familiarity with enterprise architectural design patterns
• Strong experience with Node.js: Expertise in building RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and backend systems using Node.js
• Strong Experience with GraphQL: Practical knowledge of building, maintaining, and optimizing GraphQL APIs
• Familiarity with cloud environments ( AWS , Google Cloud, etc.), and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Proficient in Git and understanding of workflows such as GitFlow
• Experience in building and maintaining robust, flexible APIs with an emphasis on scalability and performance
• Deep understanding of event-driven programming and handling asynchronous processes in Node.js

Responsibilities

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a cross-functional team to build a best-in-class experience for our customers
• Join a central team within Contentful’s Content Platform, working on cutting-edge projects that directly impact the company’s strategic goals
• Innovate and improve content management for our customers by working on initiatives that connect and deliver content at scale, breaking down silos
• Develop on our Platform with modern services like AWS , Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Get involved in our journey to leverage AI to enhance user experience, streamline operations and unlock new capabilities
• Continuously enhance REST and GraphQL API experiences that consistently cater to billions of requests every month

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of building microservices architecture and handling distributed systems challenges
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment ( CI /CD) pipelines for efficient code delivery
• Proven ability to identify performance bottlenecks and implement performance improvements in backend systems
• Prior experience working in Agile environments
