Senior Full Stack Engineer

Summary

DataCamp is seeking an exceptional Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join their Growth Engineering Team. The role involves building and improving web applications, working with the latest technologies, and contributing to the technical direction of all Growth products. The candidate should have 4+ years of experience in TypeScript, ReactJS, GraphQL, and NodeJS, be passionate about performance, organized, a team player, and familiar with cloud infrastructure and relational databases.

Requirements

• You have 4+ years of web development experience building world-class products using TypeScript, ReactJS, GraphQL, and NodeJS, on both frontend and backend applications
• You can write clean, maintainable, performant, testable code
• You have a passion for performance and an eye for details
• You can show ownership of a product or feature
• You are passionate about product development and can empathize with our customers and the problems they experience
• You enjoy solving challenging technical problems
• You are highly organized with a flexible, can-do attitude and a willingness/aptitude for learning
• You are a team player with excellent collaboration skills
• You have a pragmatic approach to solving problems and a results-oriented mindset
• You are familiar with cloud infrastructure, technologies and orchestration (such as AWS/GCP)
• You are familiar with relational databases and concepts

Responsibilities

• Help us build the best platform to guide users towards educational content
• Contribute a significant stake to the technical direction of all of the Growth products
• Work with the latest frontend and backend technologies to solve challenging problems
• Improve existing product growth features and build new ones from the ground up
• Take ownership of several components in our microservices architecture
• Contribute to our micro frontend ecosystem
• Interact closely with team members to build scalable services
• Inspire and grow the engineers around you through support, coaching, and mentoring
