Summary
Join dbt Labs' new Enterprise Onboarding team and contribute to a highly visible company initiative focused on improving the onboarding experience for dbt Cloud enterprise customers. You will build delightful admin experiences, reducing onboarding time and making it easier for customers to operationalize setup. This role involves full-stack development (front-end and back-end), working with Python, Go, React, and Typescript. You will collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers. The team's primary goal is to accelerate dbt Cloud adoption among enterprise clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on a rapidly growing company.
Requirements
- Have strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming
- Have worked across the stack (We use Python, Go, React and Typescript)
- Have designed and built API-driven applications consuming REST and/or gRPC and OAuth for API endpoints
- Be able to balance speed of delivery with designing scalable, reusable components
- Be passionate about design and code reviews that help grow the team
- Be highly motivated and able to work autonomously
- Be ready to go outside of the teamβs realm when there are infrastructure-related dependencies and collaborate with other teams to aid the delivery of team features
- Have a systematic problem-solving approach coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
Responsibilities
- Build delightful admin experiences that are easily configurable with good, secure defaults
- Reduce onboarding time for enterprise customers
- Work across the stack (front-end and backend)
- Work alongside product manager, UX and 3 other engineers on the team
- Revamp the admin dashboard and notifications
- Develop audit log UI and streaming to other SIEMs and webhooks
- Ensure high programming standards by writing unit, functional, and integration tests
Preferred Qualifications
- Worked asynchronously as part of a fully remote, international, distributed team
- Have experience using Python to create scalable full-stack applications (e.g., building services for applications with complex workflows)
- Enjoy collaborating closely with product management partners and designers
- Value interacting with admins and end-users and deeply understanding their needs
- Can make informed trade-offs to ship useful features promptly without compromising long-term quality
- Love backend work but have frontend experience and can reason about end-to-end systems
