Summary

Job Description: A Senior or Staff-level Software Engineer is sought by Kick, an applied AI company specializing in self-driving bookkeeping. The role involves developing complex financial features and systems, working with various teams, and researching new technologies. Candidates should have 3-10+ years of software engineering experience, past experience leading the development of complex financial or accounting features, strong communication skills, and a good understanding of software architecture and design patterns.

Requirements

• Has 3-10+ years of software engineering experience
• Has past experience leading the development of complex financial or accounting features
• Worked on products with great UI & UX and have an opinion on the difference between great & mediocre design
• Has a strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills and enjoys solving user problems

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Design, Product, AI, and Engineering teams to develop and implement complex financial features and systems
• Develop both frontend and backend functionality
• Continuously research and evaluate new technologies to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Bonus if you have experience of building their own startup or working as a founding engineer
• Has experience with modern infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, GCP, Terraform, etc)
