Summary
Join onX as a Senior Full Stack Engineer and contribute to the development and maintenance of our backcountry apps. You will build and maintain scalable services, write unit and integration tests, collaborate on architectural decisions, and mentor other engineers. This role offers a hybrid or remote work environment with various locations across the US. Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 8 or more years of relevant industry experience as a senior software engineer

- Permanent US work authorization is a condition of employment with onX
- Recent experience with modern web frontend technologies, using TypeScript and any modern web framework (React, Vue, Svelte)
- Ability to traverse the full stack. You can trace an issue from the browser all the way to the service container
- Expertise in building and debugging scalable distributed services using Golang or Elixir and GraphQL
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable services to support our products
- Write essential unit and integration tests
- Assist in deploying and managing services in Kubernetes
- Collaborate in architectural decisions, across teams
- Help define SLO for services and help monitor and maintain them
- Mentor other engineers in your team and across the organization!
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent SSR experience via React/Next, Vue/Nuxt, Remix React Router v7 ๐ and friends
- Chops on the Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes and Terraform
- Any background in big data and the world of geospatial
- Experienced and comfortable with working remotely as part of a distributed team
