Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant portion in full stack roles
  • Proven experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of healthcare technologies, regulations, and compliance standards
  • Extensive experience as a hands-on coder, capable of building the founding codebase and setting technical direction
  • Hands-on experience managing third-party integrations with banking and payment applications
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance in healthcare, specifically HIPAA and SOC2, and experience implementing solutions that meet these standards

Responsibilities

  • Write, test, and maintain high-quality code for both front-end and back-end components of our applications
  • Collaborate with the Staff Engineer and other team members to develop and implement the founding codebase and technical architecture
  • Build mobile-responsive consumer experiences ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across various devices
  • Develop platform infrastructure that complies with HIPAA and SOC2 standards, ensuring security and privacy of sensitive data
  • Provide technical input and guidance on best practices for coding, architecture, and development processes
  • Communicate effectively with the Staff Engineer to align on project goals, technical direction, and priorities
  • Assist in mentoring junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment
  • Assist in managing third-party integrations, particularly with banking and payment applications, ensuring seamless interoperability
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of security measures and compliance protocols, maintaining adherence to HIPAA and SOC2 regulations
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve application performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize development processes, tools, and workflows to enhance team productivity and product quality
  • Collaborate with the Staff Engineer to plan and prioritize development tasks, ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals
  • Ensure thorough testing of code, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to maintain high standards of quality and reliability
