Senior Full Stack Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Product Engineer at Vantage, a cloud cost visibility and optimization platform. The role involves working with the product engineering team, collaborating with founders on feature development, writing clean code, driving technical architecture decisions, owning end-to-end feature development, joining design and product on customer calls, and understanding user needs. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, is product-oriented, has expertise in Ruby and Rails, and has software design experience with architectures that have scaled from the simple to the complex.

Requirements

• A product-oriented engineer with a passion for listening to and delighting customers
• Strong technical background, including 5+ years of experience working on full stack codebases
• Prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and have a good intuition for what will last and scale
• Expertise in Ruby and Rails
• Software design experience with architectures that have scaled from the simple to the complex

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our founders and collaborate on feature discovery, ideation, and delivery
• Write clean, testable, peer-reviewed code
• Drive technical architecture decisions to set the groundwork as Vantage scales into the future
• Own end-to-end feature development - including measuring and reporting on customer impact
• Join Design and Product on customer calls to understand user needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Monitoring and observability expertise
• Experience building and deploying to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Relevant Data Visualization / financial product experience

Benefits

• The estimated annual US base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $190,000
