Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and maintaining web applications using Python
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React development (hooks, state management, component design)
- Experience working with REST APIs and GraphQL
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Pytest, Jest, or React Testing Library
- Comfortable working with feature flagging systems
- Understanding of version control best practices using Git, including branching strategies, rebasing, and pull request reviews
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with strong attention to testability
- Basic reading and writing skills in English, used for understanding technical documentation and writing internal documentation (e.g., wikis)
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a distributed, asynchronous team
- Comfortable working in agile teams and remote/distributed environments
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve the platform β a large-scale, production-grade system built with Python and extensively using Django ORM. The stack also leverages PostgreSQL, NGINX, and Celery for orchestration and background jobs
- Navigate and extend our internal GraphQL layer (Omnibus) to interface with APIs in a scalable and testable way
- Write robust unit and integration tests using Pytest ensuring high coverage and reliability
- Participate in incident resolution and performance tuning, investigating logs, metrics, and traces using tools like Splunk and Sentinel
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Developers, and QA Engineers to resolve production issues, implement customer-requested improvements, and ensure platform stability
- Review code contributions from peers and help enforce our engineering standards and CI/CD workflows
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English, and to contribute to internal documentation (e.g., code comments, wikis) with simple, clear written English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on large-scale, multi-tenant enterprise platforms
- Exposure to NGINX, Celery, or SAML/SSO authentication flows
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools used for observability, such as Splunk or Sentinel
- Experience working with feature toggles, environment-based deployments, or per-customer customizations
- Previous experience in a multi-language or internationalized product environment
