Senior Full Stack WordPress Developer

Join Kanopi Studios as a Contract Senior Full Stack WordPress Developer! This fully remote position, open to US and Canadian residents, offers a competitive hourly rate ($55-$75). You will collaborate on building and configuring WordPress sites, developing Gutenberg blocks with React, creating templates for full-site editing, and contributing to custom plugins and themes. The ideal candidate possesses 4+ years of WordPress experience, proficiency in ACF, React, and modern development workflows, and strong communication skills. Requirements

• Have 4+ years of professional WordPress experience
• Be proficient with Advanced Custom Fields (fields, taxonomies, CPT, REST API)
• Be experienced in building custom Gutenberg blocks using React and ACF
• Have a strong understanding of templates and patterns for full-site editing
• Be skilled in JavaScript, including React
• Be well-versed in modern development workflows (CLI, GitHub, Docker, multi-environment setup and deployment)
• Have a deep understanding of modern web standards and technologies
• Hold a BS or MS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• Be comfortable working in support roles and open to doing so
• Have proven experience in an agency environment, preferably remote, with the ability to manage multiple time zones
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, intelligence, and initiative
• Regularly communicate with your team regarding questions, task estimates, progress, and potential issues
• Exhibit thoughtful, inclusive, and articulate communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Build and configure WordPress sites

• Write code and process documentation
• Participate in code peer reviews
