Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Summary

Join Mercury's Account Fraud and Enablement Team as a Senior Full Stack Engineer. This hands-on role combines software engineering with technical leadership, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will implement new fraud detection systems, integrate review flows into existing systems, and propose technical solutions to business needs. The ideal candidate possesses 7-10+ years of software engineering experience, including frontend and backend development, and technical leadership experience. Requirements

• Has 7-10+ years of experience as a software engineer with prior experience in both frontend and backend development
• Has technical leadership or people management experience and is excited to work in a hands-on individual contributor role that includes a significant leadership focus

Responsibilities

• Implement new systems to support fraud-focused manual and automated reviews of new applications
• Work cross-functionally with other Risk Product teams to integrate Account Fraud review flows into systems owned by teams like Risk Onboarding
• Provide technical mentorship to junior and mid-career developers on your team
• Work with your engineering manager, product manager, designer, and stakeholders to understand upcoming business needs and propose technical solutions to these problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Is experienced with, or excited to learn, our frontend technologies including: React, TypeScript, and Redux
• Is experienced with, or excited to learn, our backend technologies including: Haskell, Yesod, Persistent, and Postgresql
