Summary

Join Thyme Care as a Senior Fullstack Engineer and contribute to the development of member- and provider-facing products. You will iterate rapidly on existing offerings, transitioning to focus on provider products as the team grows. Responsibilities include working on small tickets to gain familiarity with products, owning project execution and delivery, joining on-call rotation, developing a strong understanding of Thyme Care's model, translating ideas into features, leading technical decisions, and building a roadmap for provider technologies. The ideal candidate possesses experience in fast-paced environments, collaboration with product teams, cross-team collaboration, and deep experience with web development using Vue.js/TypeScript, FastAPI/Python, and Postgres. Requirements

  • You’ve worked in fast-paced, early stage environments
  • You know when to move quickly to ship an experiment, and when to move with intention to set up for future success
  • You’re comfortable collaborating with Product to lead the development of complex and loosely-scoped projects, and rely on data to make decisions about your work
  • You frequently collaborate across teams, and are comfortable steering the work of one or more engineers
  • You have deep experience with web development
  • You’ve built single-page applications in stacks similar to ours: Vue.js/TypeScript, FastAPI/Python, and Postgres
  • You’ve owned, refactored, and improved complicated subsystems, and are comfortable managing the health of a larger codebase

Responsibilities

  • Work on small tickets to gain exposure to our member- and provider-facing products
  • Own the execution and delivery of your first project, while becoming familiar with Thyme Care’s development processes
  • Shadow and ultimately join our on-call rotation, helping to triage new alerts and maintain the health of our applications
  • Develop a strong understanding of Thyme Care’s model, the role of providers within it, and the key metrics we use to define success
  • Routinely translate ideas into fully-formed features, working independently or in collaboration with other engineers to drive value for providers
  • Lead technical decisions related to our provider technologies, and help build a roadmap for their growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • You’ve supported public-facing applications, and understand the unique challenges that come with supporting users external to the company
  • You’ve worked on browser extensions, robotic process automations, and/or data pipelines
  • You have experience owning team processes like roadmapping and sprint planning – or are interested in learning
  • Prior experience working in healthcare or health tech
