Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Remote - Europe

Summary

The job is for a Senior Full Stack Engineer at PlayA AI, a remote position focusing on developing and maintaining a client-facing web application. Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, with a strong portfolio of web applications
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, with experience using Next.js for building server-side rendered applications and static websites
• Proficiency in server-side languages such as Node.js, Python
• Experience with integrating with different third-party APIs
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, S3, etc)
• Experience with deployment on cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and ensuring code quality through unit tests, integration tests, etc
• Understanding and experience of implementing secure web applications according to security best practices, including authorization, managing roles and accesses to pages and data for organizations and individuals
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, and lead technical discussions
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
• At least an Upper - Intermediate level of English

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain our client-facing web application
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and machine learning engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Lead the architecture and implementation of both the front-end and back-end of the application
• Ensure the application is secure, scalable, and performant
• Mentor junior engineers and lead code reviews to maintain code quality
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our tech stack remains current
• Work closely with the DevOps team to automate deployments and ensure continuous integration and delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in startups or fast-paced environments
• Experience with Data Visualization libraries like D3.js
• Experience with responsive design and building mobile-first applications
• Understanding of network protocols, DNS, subdomains, etc
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and data-driven applications
