Senior Fullstack Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Support Engineer at Vonage, responsible for building systems for their fraud prevention platform and developing a microfrontend platform. The role requires excellent software engineering skills in Java, understanding of high performance computing, testing, and experience with AWS, Kafka, Redis, Docker, Nomad, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL, and public cloud.

Requirements

• Excellent software engineering skills in Java
• An excellent practical understanding of high performance, highly distributed computing
• A strong focus on testing
• An understanding of Object Oriented Design and standard design patterns
• Experience of multi-threaded, 3-tier architectures, web services and caching
• Experience dealing with event-driven pipeline
• Willingness to learn and use different technology/programming language
• Experience working with public cloud. AWS would be advantageous
• SQL / NoSQL
• Practical experience of deploying code in a modern programming environment using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
