Senior Functional Consultant

Summary

Join Datacom, New Zealand's largest IT services provider, as a Senior Functional Consultant for D365 F&SCM. You will support clients in a client-facing role, taking lead responsibility for functional areas of the solution, acting as a liaison between clients and technical teams. This role involves supporting existing clients and implementing new solutions based on industry best practices, leading workshops, eliciting requirements, crafting solutions, and articulating concepts. You will participate in business transformation initiatives, leveraging D365 F&SCM and other solutions. Building strong client relationships and collaborating with other teams is crucial. You will lead business requirements gathering, functional design, and implementation of D365 F&SCM components. Requirements

• Possess a deep understanding of Microsoft D365 F&SCM modules, particularly Finance including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit and Collections, Cash and Bank Management, Budgeting, Fixed Assets, and Expense Management
• Have at least 5 years of experience with Microsoft D365 F&SCM or Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 implementations and support
• Analyze and translate financial business requirements into processes and solutions that implement industry-recommended practices
• Have knowledge of project scoping, analysis, estimation, and post-live training and support functions to help inform and build out our implementation projects or enhancement streams of work
• Possess strong documentation skills for creating and maintaining detailed records of system architecture, design specifications, and user requirements
• Have excellent communication skills to interact with and build relationships both internally and externally
• This includes key customer contacts & product owners, project managers, end users and the wider D365 team at Datacom
• Possess the ability to identify and rectify client issues, whether these are process driven, technical or functional challenges

Responsibilities

• Support clients in a client-facing role, taking lead responsibility for the functional areas of the solution
• Act as a conduit between the client’s business users, stakeholders and the technical development teams
• Support existing clients and implement new client solutions based on our industry best practice approach
• Lead workshops, eliciting requirements, crafting solutions and articulating different concepts
• Participate in business transformation initiatives, large projects that leverage not only D365 F&SCM, but other solutions from ISV products, Financial Planning tools, D365 Customer Engagement, Data Platforms and more
• Build and solidify trusting relationships with our clients and actively collaborate on solutions with other teams
• Lead the business requirements gathering, functional design and implementation of D365 F&SCM components that meet customers specifications and conforms to Datacom's standards and guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess experience in Demand Forecasting, Master Planning, Warehouse Management, Expense Management, Multi-company, Project Accounting, and Financial Management
• Ideally focus on out of the box functionality over heavy configuration
• Have relevant certifications such as Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310), and Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate (MB-330)
