Senior GCP DevOps Engineer

Summary

You will collaborate with clients and development teams to build scalable and reliable applications, utilizing your expertise in IaC, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices. Requirements

• Significant experience delivering at a Senior Engineer level. Our Seniors typically have at least 6 years’ commercial experience
• Practical experience and knowledge of developing real-world solutions
• Practical experience of delivering in an agile environment
• Strong experience managing and automating cloud-based infrastructure on GCP
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, ideally Kubernetes (K8s)
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Scripting and automation expertise, preferably with Python
• Experience with observability tools and monitoring frameworks for system performance optimization
• Solid understanding of security best practices across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Professional proficiency in English

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage cloud-based infrastructure on GCP
• Create and maintain deployment architectures and continuous delivery pipelines
• Design high-availability and fault-tolerant solutions for applications
• Implement monitoring frameworks, including dashboards, alerts, and escalation processes
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Manage containerized applications and orchestrate deployments using Kubernetes
• Ensure security best practices are applied across CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and microservices
• Optimize system performance and scalability through observability and proactive monitoring
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment workflows and improve DevOps processes
• Advise clients on best practices for cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and system security
• Engage in technical discussions with stakeholders and support project execution to ensure timely delivery
• Assist with the analysis of client requirements
• Work with and support Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery
• Collaborate with client teams
